Overview

Shisper Glacier and Khurdopin Glacier are two prominent glaciers located in the mesmerizing Karakoram mountain range of Pakistan. Each holds its own allure and significance in the realm of adventure and natural beauty. Shisper Glacier: Shisper Glacier is situated in the Hunza Valley of Gilgit-Baltistan region. It is one of the longest glaciers outside the polar regions, extending over approximately 16 kilometers. Its icy expanse descends from the mighty peaks of the Karakoram, notably from the Shispare Peak (7,611 meters), after which it is named. Shisper Glacier's grandeur and remote location make it a magnet for adventurers and researchers alike. Its majestic ice formations, crevasses, and seracs present a challenging terrain for trekkers and mountaineers seeking thrilling experiences in the high-altitude wilderness. Khurdopin Glacier: Khurdopin Glacier, located in the Hispar Muztagh subrange of the Karakoram, is renowned for its stunning beauty and formidable trekking routes. It originates from the southern slopes of the Hispar Sar (7,027 meters) and feeds into the Khurdopin River. The glacier's striking blue ice formations, surrounded by towering peaks, create a surreal landscape that captivates the imagination of all who venture there. Khurdopin Glacier serves as a gateway to high-altitude adventures, including treks to Khurdopin Pass (5,800 meters), offering intrepid explorers the opportunity to witness breathtaking vistas and test their mettle against the challenges of the rugged terrain. Both Shisper Glacier and Khurdopin Glacier stand as testament to the raw, unbridled beauty of the Karakoram range, inviting adventurers to embark on unforgettable journeys amidst some of the world's most spectacular natural wonders.
